We have enjoyed being a part of various events to help support our community whenever we can. Here are some special "shout-outs" of previous ones.
Arthur Lions Club Annual Craft Show & Sale ~ Nov. 20th, 2016
Arthur & Area Community Centre
The Arthur Lions Club 22nd Annual Craft Show & Sale. There was a penny table with donated items, plenty of exhibitors to visit in both the main and upper auditoriums. All exhibitors showcasing HANDCRAFTED PRODUCTS only. Proceeds go towards local needs and projects, such as minor sports, hospitals, unique medical, physical & visual needs for individuals. What a great way to support our local community!
Kenilworth Public School Craft Sale ~ Nov. 19th, 2016
The KPS annual craft sale always offers a wonderful selection of vendors that fill the gymnasium, hallways and classrooms with a wide range of goodies! The admission was only $2 and it included door prize tickets! They also had a Penny Table of items that were generously donated and all proceeds going towards the school for things like Scientists in the Classroom, books, electronics and sports equipment.
It was our pleasure to be a part of the KPS Craft Sale! Kenilworth Public School is very dear to our hearts because it is where our children attended school from Kindergarten to Grade 6. We have many fond memories of KPS, such as their annual Harvest Moon Festival & Chilli Cook-Off event, the book fairs & open house events all put on by the teachers, volunteers and students.
Arthur Fall Fair ~ September, 2016
Arthur is well known to be Canada's most patriotic village, so what a great place to showcase our Canadian, handmade products! We were proud to participate this year. It was an honour to be there, in the presence of many creative and inspiring people.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Arthur 160th Fall Fair!
Strathroy Downtown Market ~ August, 2016
Kind of aging myself here, but Strathroy is where I was born...back in 1976 ! I am sure a lot of things in Strathroy have changed since then! I have a lot of fond childhood memories growing up there. From going for ice cream at Cool Cucumber with my family, attending the Public Library for a sing along with Sharon & Lois, from Sharon, Lois & Bram, walking or biking to school with my brothers, to picnics at the park.
I remember one time at the A&P grocery store with my Mom, I saw one of my Grade school teachers grocery shopping and I walked up to her all confused and said, what are you doing here? (in my head obviously thinking she lives at the school), with a smile, she laughed and replied "teachers need to eat too you know".
I was very excited to take a trip down memory lane and help support my hometown!
Brussels Ladies Night ~ March, 2016
This was the very first show for NessaCery Essence!!! It was our pleasure to be a part of a wonderful evening in support of the Brussels community. We saw a lot of friends and familiar faces. It was so nice to see an amazing group of women come together to share the evening.
It was a great way to introduce our Soy Scents and also announce that Solace On Turnberry, Spa & Gift Shop in Brussels would be carrying our candles!! We were happy to donate a gift basket of Soy Scents selections to the silent auction.
Get In Touch For Hutch Charity Auction ~ Arthur, 2016
Suicide accounts for 24 percent of all deaths among 15-24 year olds. This statistic become a devastating reality for the Hutchison family in February of 2013 when Steven suddently took his life while in his dorm room at University. Everyone was shocked, even those who were close to him because he suffered in silence.
In his memory, GetInTouchForHutch has been working to break down the walls of Stigma that are so strongly attached to Mental Illness. Through education, awareness events and activities, they have raised more than $125,000 supporting various Youth Mental Health Organizations in the building of youth skills and abilities that improve and support their emotional health and well-being.
We were very happy to donate a gift basket of Soy Scents selections to the charity auction in support of Get In Touch For Hutch. There were a lot of really great items donated to the auction in support of this very worthy foundation.
